DearGarden started with a simple frustration: Gardening is joyful, but getting there has always felt harder than it should.

Most people end up lost in conflicting advice, overwhelming garden centres, and plants that die with no explanation why. We wanted a tool that started with the person. That tool did not exist. So we built it.

DearGarden is for everyone who gardens, but does not quite feel like a gardener yet.

A small crew with
muddy boots and big plans.

We are a small crew of garden lovers, people-first thinkers, and engineers who got tired of watching a hobby this joyful feel so unnecessarily hard.

Lyn

The reason DearGarden exists. Spoiled by beautiful gardens her whole life, she was completely unprepared for the moment a house renovation left hers flattened to bare soil. She needed help, could not find it

After fifteen years of finding ways to bring products to customers in consumer growth and strategy, she knew there was something she could do about it.

Meg

Confidently planted things in completely the wrong season and considers keeping a monstera alive for a full year one of her greater achievements. This makes her very good at making sure DearGarden is built for real people.

A decade in consumer strategy and insights means she knows exactly who those people are.

Ella

Spent years at Bloom & Wild building products that had to work reliably, at scale, for real people with real expectations. She is also a proper gardener, which at DearGarden counts for a lot.

Do I need gardening experience to use DearGarden?

Not at all! DearGarden is made for everyone — whether you’re planting your first seed or managing a greenhouse.

Do I need to pay to use DearGarden?

DearGarden is free to download and lets you create a few bed designs at no cost. If you’d like to design more beds or explore extra layouts, you can purchase credits in the app or choose a subscription with a larger bundle.

Is the app available outside the UK?

Right now, DearGarden is for UK users. But we hope to sprout in new regions soon — sign up for updates!
